Gael are looking to offer a Graduate training programme focussing on Software testing and integrating with product design and development. In order to apply for this unique graduate programme you will meet the following profile.
Technical skills - You will have a minimum of 6 months commercial experience in a software development / support environment or you will be able to demonstrate a development project using internet technologies and a commercial focus. In particular you will have experience in Object Orientated programming in the .NET framework, and SQL server skills with a degree or post graduate in Computer science or related IT discipline. Some working experience of test case writing and test data design would be advantageous; otherwise you will be able to demonstrate technical understanding through a recent technical project with a commercial focus. Absolutely essential are strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to analyse and challenge technical texts.
The challenge – Use your technical knowledge to translate product specifications and requirements into efficient test cases suitable for test automation. This role sits within the testing division and will allow the successful candidate to gain valuable experience in all aspects of software testing through the identification, design and execution of effective test cases. Software testing will give you a sound understanding of the work flow and business logic implemented by the product under test. This is an ideal post for a graduate that is looking to develop within an entrepreneurial Scottish company.
The person – You must be motivated by technical challenges and proactive in keeping up to date with new Microsoft technologies. This role will provide sound technical experience with a business focus; therefore you must be willing to learn and work hard. Team contribution is essential within the product development process; therefore you must be a team player with good communication skills. Ideally you will be a graduate with a minimum of 6 months commercial experience in a software testing environment, looking to focus on testing but also to expand your areas of expertise in produce development processes, how testing fits into this and awareness in all areas in design, support and development.
