The challenge – My client is a leading professional services organisation with an excellent market reputation, who put major investment and emphasis on technology and IT. The data analyst position will involve providing various stakeholders both in the business and external to the business with MI reports and business analysis. You will work in the MI team and use statistical techniques to understand factors affecting business performance. You will focus on pricing and customer targeting issues and provide support to a number of business areas
Technical skills – The ideal candidate will have a degree in mathematics, statistics or another numerate subject, and have very strong analytical skills. Experience of MI reporting, excellent written communication and report writing skills will be essential to fulfil the role requirements. Experience and knowledge of analytical techniques including segmentation, regression, logistic regression and predictive modelling would be a real bonus as would any exposure to SPSS
The person - The successful candidate will be a likable and approachable person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be results driven and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will be dealing with people at all levels so you will need to be confident and be able to explain technical issues to non-technical personnel. A team player, hard work and a commercial focus will stand the successful candidate in good stead.
