managing multiple offers
Managing multiple offers is a nice problem to have, but making a decision between them
can be difficult. A large multi-national company may allow a couple of weeks for a
decision, but smaller companies will need to know within a couple of days. We have
detailed the primary considerations required if you are in the fortunate position to
have multiple job offers:
- Find out how long you have to make a decision.
- Gather as much information as possible about the job offers, the role and company.
- If you have another interview approaching, explain the situation to the company, and ask for the interview to be brought forward.
- If you're still waiting for feedback from an interview ask for a likely feedback date, explaining your situation, in the hope of getting further information.
- Once your decision is made, reject one or all offers as pleasantly as possible, keeping all doors open for the future.
